Santa Barbara / Final Post

Hello friends of word press, this is Lalo with my final post on here. It was a great experience to show you guys what i have been up to and doing in my outdoor life. This final post will just be about my favorite three places in Santa Barbara. First on the list is the Santa Barbara  bowl. This is a favorite because i am really into music and seeing live performances so i come out here when a good band or singer come to perform. Next on the list, is the Santa Barbara Mission.  I have been coming out to the mission for weddings and other stuff relating to church. During fiestas, my family and I will come out to see the dancers and watch live music being played with a great variety of Mexican foods. The final place I love to visit, especially because it is so close to my house is, the beach.  It is a place for relaxation and mind clearing when you need it. I mostly us it for family and friends time, 4th of July, and surfing. Well , it has come to an end. Thank you guys, hope you guys have enjoyed my posts!

Deportivo Halcones from day 1

 Hello friends! I just went through all my pictures in my laptop and happened to find three of my favorite team pictures! I have been playing with this same team for more than five years now and are family to me, not just teammates. We have all had our ups and downs but still managed to stay together and push each other to do better on and off the field. This first pic was taken before the first game of the new season a couple years back. We were able to come out with a win of 3-1 against a tough team that played very well.  This next picture was taken after we won the championship 2-1 vs another great team that played their hardest and almost managed to tie the game up before the final whistle. This was in December of 2013. Just a bunch of 14/13 year old youngsters.  This last pic was from just from last week. After we sadly lost 3-0. We all tried our hardest although some gave up which was  upsetting. The important thing is that we all had bug smiles after the trophies were given. Well that’s all for today guys! Basketball

 Hello buddies of the world. Hope you guys are having a great day! Well anyways, I woke up and had a great breakfast. I was super bored after that so i decided to go out to a near by elementary school to play some basketball. It had been a while since i have played so i thought it was the perfect time! I was by myself so it was not as much fun but i still enjoyed the time i had by myself. Really just got to focus on myself and on what i was doing. I had a great view of the ocean which was a lot better!  As you can see, i was playing on the small courts because i was just getting started! Even though i did not think about moving to the bigger courts haha! The wind also had an effect on my shots with was GREAT! (sarcasm) Really put a dent in my shooting ability. Although the sky had a gorgeous blue fading to a white to it which was nice!  Washington is a great school to play really any sport at, it also has a large field with soccer goals for soccer obviously and backstops for baseball. I recommend anyone to go have fun there!

Soccer Saturdays

 Hey guys! Lalo again with a ‘Soccer Saturday’ post. This past weekend, my team, Deportivo Halcones played the championship game vs rivals, Union Carpinteria. It was a great match, both teams played well. Although, we took a hard loss with a score of 3-0. A penalty on their first goal, a bad pass on the second goal, and an offsides goal. If those mistakes were not to happen, the game would have been a lot more interesting. Sadly, after the second goal, some of our players had just given up and didn’t think that we were gonna be able to make a comeback. Even though we did not come back, the rest of us kept a positive attitude throughout the whole game a played with our heart until the final whistle.  After the match, many of us had still felt great because we had not made it to the final game in many seasons. So it didn’t suck as much which is great. After we received our trophies, we had big smiles on our faces and took the second place trophy home. 

Lionel Messi

Hello people, Lalo once again. Since i don’t have much to post about, I’m doing a blog on my favorite soccer player Lionel Messi. *Keep In Mind.. These ARE NOT My Pictures #DontSueMeThanks!* But anyways, Just a little info about him, he is a 27 year old striker from Argentina currently playing for FC Barcelona. He is an extremely successful player, breaking records of past legends around the world! He has a wife and one son named Thiago. Messi has won many awards like the Ballon D’ Or, Golden boot, La Liga championships, UEFA Champions League, Copa Del Rey, winning lots and lots of money. Also being a World Cup finalist. and many many more. Here is a pic of him with his winnings.  He is a very well known man and is loved by many around the world, in my opinion, he is loved most by his son, Thiago. He is a 3 year old that loves to watch his old man play! Messi has a tattoo of Thiago’s hand prints on his left calf with the name of his son right under it.  Well that’s it for today, see you guys next time!

Santa Barbara Sunsets

Hello friends, it’s Lalo again! I was out on the edge of a cliff yesterday watching the sun set, but I had forgotten my phone which was a bummer. And i thought to myself, I have a sunset picture from a little while ago from this same spot! I can possibly use that for a new blog post! Just with two other pics. Now none of these pictures are recent but still would like to share them with you.  The next picture was taken when I was with my family taking a walk down the shore towards east beach. It had a crazy cool look to it and i just HAD to snap a picture! I took it on on the app Snapchat so my friends on there can also see it.  Tell me not, that looks pretty amazing. The last picture i took was a few weeks ago when i went on a hike with my sister and my dad, We were out in Carpinteria going towards Summerland, it was a long hike but it was definitely worth it. Then on the way back down, we decided to go watch the sun set, we were all tired of course so just sat there on the sun, took some pictures, and relaxed. That was a day well spent. Favorable Stadiums to play in

 Hey guys, it’s Lalo again with another fun blog post for ya! This blog will be about my top 3 stadiums in California that i would die to play in ! The first is, the Los Angeles Coliseum in L.A. obviously. I’d like to play here because it is the home stadium of my favorite university. Which are the Trojans of USC. This picture is from a few months ago when my family and I went to go watch a Trojans football game vs the Sundevils from Arizona.  The next stadium is the earlier known Home Depot Center but now the Stubhub Center which is located in Carson CA. It is home to the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA MLS soccer teams. This game was from last summer when the LA Galaxy beat the Seattle Sounders 2-1 with a last minute goal from AJ Delagarza. It was a great match.  The final stadium I would like to play in is, La Playa stadium, home to Los Vaqueros of Santa Barbara City College. I would enjoy this one because it was a beautiful beach view and is right of the coast of SB. Well it’s time for me to head on out. Peace!

MAD Projects

 Hello fellow bloggers. This is Lalo with yet, another post. I know it’s been a while, im sorry! But anyways, I just want to share of of my MAD projects from school with you guys since i have nothing to post about. Alright, my first project is the initial of my last name, Corrales. I chose this design because it is unique and funky, I found it cool so i checked it out and it became a favorite.  My next project is a self portrait of my self. I chose the same design on my shirt as i did in the initial because I became a huge fan of the print. On my hair. I went for an orange fading to a dark orange. Turned out pretty well in my opinion!  AND in my final project, i did a clipping mask out of two surfboards because i enjoy surfing when i get the chance. And because it looked pretty cool to be honest. I went for a gradient mesh of a beautiful beach sunset. Didn’t turn out very clear obviously. Also, i went with dolphins on the front of it because dolphins are my favorite ocean animals! Well that’s all for today, bye !

Dons Soccer #nosotros

 Hello fellow bloggers, sorry i haven’t been posting much lately, i’ve been busy with a lot of soccer practice, family duties & other  school work. I just wanted to share some pictures of the Santa Barbara High School JV soccer team. They were a great team with many great players. My top favorite player of the team is my good friend Tyler Munoz with the number 21, he is a 16 year old mexican center back. He’s a favorite because he is good at his position, he knows how to play the game really well and he he has a very positive attitude towards not only the JV team, but towards the Varsity and Soph/frosh team and coaches as well. I had a chance to do a little chance to have a small interview with him, he said he likes his position because he can interact with the whole team on the field, whether it is giving short passes to his sides or giving long balls to his strikers. The whole team in general is great ! They had a record of 9-1-3 this season. well, until next time guys. See ya soon ! 

Bad grinding day

 Well yesterday was a good skateboarding day overall, but a terrible grinding day. I had many hard falls but these 2 pictures up top had to be the hardest I’ve had in a long while. At first, i tried the grind, and landed it second try. I was stoked about it cause it was something new, so i decided to get it on video. I had no luck what so ever, i kept failing and retrying but i just couldn’t get it. The first fall I had was slipping slipping out of a crook grind. On the way down to the ground, i lost my balance and tripped on my board and the outcome of that was me back peddling, falling and hitting my back on a planter. It hurt at the moment but the pain quickly went away. The second picture was my back wheels and truck getting stuck on the wood of a bench so i went flying forward, gladly, i caught myself. But i must admit, it was a great skate day with my close friends.
